About our setting
Risby Preschool is a highly respected establishment at the heart of the community which has provided quality childcare for over 40 years. We are located next to Risby Primary School and though we are not formally connected to the school, the preschool and school have a good relationship. Special attention is paid to the induction of the children that are due to start at Risby CEVCP school each September to ensure transitions are smooth from our setting to the school. Please note that attendance at the preschool does not guarantee a place at Risby Primary School.
We are renowned for our inclusive, friendly, warm and welcoming approach. We strive to provide an environment in which children can thrive, where family members are important and the child is at the heart of all we do.
Our experienced, passionate and dedicated staff work hard to create a safe, fun, caring and stimulating environment for your child when in our care and welcome children from the age of 2 years.
As well as a Preschool we provide a relaxed environment at the start and end of the school day in our before and after-school services on a Monday to Friday 8.00am-5.30pm for ages 3 to 11 years, providing flexible services to families with children who also attend Risby CEVCP School.
Every Preschool child and family has a key person who is a member of our team who is responsible for:
- Being that special person that knows the child and who the child will form strong bonds with.
- Ensuring the child's individual development needs are met across all areas of learning.
- Being the point of contact for the parents if they have any questions or concerns.
